Blue Peel Microdermabrasion

The Obagi Blue Peel Microdermabrasion is a TCA (Trichloracetic Acid ) peel intended to be used in unison with the Obagi system. It corrects and improves conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, hyperpigmentation or brown spots, scarring, and skin laxity. TCA peels are stronger than other chemical peels using AHA (Alphahydroxy Acid) and, therefore, require more downtime than traditional  peels. The Blue Peel can be used in the face, neck, chest, legs, hands, and back.

Patients experience some burning for the first few minutes of the Blue Peel Microdermabrasion. This goes away as the peel neutralizes and is absorbed by the skin. You skin will have a blueish tint for the first 1-2 days and then begin to peel. Peeling lasts anywhere from 7-10 days, revealing younger, healthier, and more radiant skin!

“After 7 months of using the Obagi skin care system,  an Obagi Blue peel Microdermabrasion was recommended to enhance my results and further minimize my sun damage.

The peel was applied with the warning that it might be uncomfortable. While it was stingy and hot, it did not warrant any pain relieving medication. Two layers of peel were applied  to strip away 2 layers of my damaged skin. After about 4 days my skin did peel, a lot! With the use of the Obagi moisturizer and a very emollient over the counter lotion the peeling process was not painful and the results were AMAZING!

 The fine lines and not so fine lines around my eyes and mouth are much less evident. My face feels smooth and subtle. My friends and family are amazed at the transformation and I am too! I have had other peels and the results were just so so. This treatment took at least 10 years off my face.
